After a more then 25 year hiatus from photography I started shooting again in 2011.  I exhibited two of my early pictures from my Vermont Barn series in September, 2011.

After getting over the fear of showing my work, my next step was to start experimenting in wide panoramas.  I found that projecting the images in stereographic projections or "planets" was particularly interesting.  I entered the following two images in a juried art show in April 2012.   Much to my surprise, the brooding image of Alexandria City Hall won best in show!  And, I sold my first piece of work!

The second image is "Sunrise over Lake Dunmore"

I have three images that are showing in a juried show in Alexandria - Art at City Hall 2012.  The pictures will by on display from October 2012 through May 2013.

The first image was taken in Alexandria at the Masonic Temple.

The second image was taken at the DC World War I memorial on the National Mall.  This little known monument has recently been restored by the part service and was a fun location for this composition.

The third image was taken in Alexandria at the Mount Vernon Recreational Center.  There is a huge mural on the north wall of the building that is just about impossible to get into one image without foreground trees and other obstacles.  I was able to use multiple wide angle shots to compose this panorama.  I thought this was a fun perspective.
